Do removable braces work?

Yes, removable braces are made from innovative materials that are just as effective for moving teeth as a fixed bracket and wire aligner. Removable aligners will only be effective if you can commit to wearing them for at least 22 hours per day. If you think you might struggle to achieve this, fixed aligners might be a better fit for you.

Is it worth getting teeth straightened?

Teeth straightening is more than just an aesthetic improvement. Straight teeth are much easier to care for and you’ll find it much easier to brush and floss. Patients also report a boost in their confidence as a result of teeth straightening treatments.

How long is the treatment plan?

This depends on your individual case. Every treatment plan is different. You can expect to wear your Clear Aligners for 20-22 hours per day and change them every 12-14 days. The length of time to complete the treatment will depend on how far your teeth need to move.

Will anyone know I am wearing aligners?

The aligners are very thin and clear, so it isn’t obvious to those around you that you are wearing aligners. They are much less obvious than fixed metal braces, but they are not completely invisible.

Can I eat what I want?

Absolutely! You can eat all of your favourite foods while using the Clear Aligner system. Simply remove your aligners to eat and drink and then replace them after your meal. We recommend only drinking cold, clear liquids while wearing your aligners. Coloured liquids can stain them and hot liquids can warp them.

Will my teeth stay straight after treatment?

Teeth may drift out of alignment over time when you are finished with your orthodontic treatment. We recommend wear a retainer at night to help prevent this.
