What are All-on-4 dental implants?

If you are missing multiple teeth, All-on-4 dental implants could offer a cost-effective way to restore more than just your smile. All-on-4 dental implants help to restore function, allowing you to eat, speak and smile with confidence. Four to six implants support a complete arch restoration. Angled implants are used to avoid the need for a bone graft.

  • Full-arch restorations
  • Restore function and aesthetics
  • No bone grafting required
  • Permanent solution
  • Smile with confidence
  • Fast treatment times

How do All-on-4 dental implants work?

All-on-4 dental implants offer a fast and cost-effective alternative to individual implants. To replace all teeth with individual implants would take a long time and cost a lot of money. Instead, 4 implants are used to support a full arch. With the All-on-4 treatment concept, implants are placed at an angle to provide a strong support without the need for bone grafting.

Many patients can enjoy a same-day restoration and say goodbye to their old denture immediately. If you are not suited for immediate loading, we can adapt your existing denture to be worn while the implant site heals.

Excellent Benefits

  • Fewer visits
  • Enjoy a new smile immediately
  • Reduced need for bone grafting
  • A permanently restored smile

The result is a full set of teeth that look and feel like natural teeth. The added benefit of All-on-4 dental implants over removable dentures is that they are fixed directly to your jaw bone. All-on-4 implants will prevent bone loss and maintain your youthful facial structure.

The patient journey

Learn how you could transform your smile with All-on-4 dental implants.

Clinical assessment

We will discuss the treatment and determine if you are a suitable candidate based on a dental examination and digital X-rays.

Placing the implants

A template is used to guide the optimum placement of the implant screws. We can adapt your existing denture to be worn while the implants heal.

Allow the bone to heal

Your bone heals and fuses to the implants to create a strong anchor. The angled rear implants help to create a strong anchor without the need for grafting.

The final restoration

All-on-4 implants allow for immediate loading of a provisional prosthesis, so you can enjoy a shorter treatment time.

Smile with confidence

Your final fixed arch restoration will look and function just like natural teeth, with the pressure of your bite distributed across your jaw bone.

Aftercare and support

We will provide you with all of the information you need to take care of your teeth. We also recommend regular dental checks.

Can I get dental implants on the NHS?

No, dental implants are not typically offered on the NHS unless they are required for a more extensive restoration following an accident, for example. To help you spread the cost of your dental implant treatment, we offer interest-free credit financing. As a permanent restoration, dental implants offer excellent value for money.

Are dental implants painful?

You may experience some discomfort following the placement of the implant root. This should be easily managed with over-the-counter pain medication such as ibuprofen. During the treatment stages, you will be completely numbed and should not feel any pain.

Who isn’t suitable for dental implants?

While the majority of patients will be able to have dental implants, there are some risk factors that would increase the chances of the implant failing. We would consider the following when determining if you are a candidate for dental implants: bone density, gum health and lifestyle factors such as smoking

Who should consider dental implants?

Dental implants are a versatile treatment option. You should consider dental implants if you have: lost part of or a whole tooth, fractured a tooth, a failed bridge or crown that needs to be replaced or have an ill fitting dentures

How does All-on-4 differ from dentures?

Unlike dentures, the All-on-4 dental implant procedure provides a permanent, fixed solution to missing teeth. The dental implants are fixed into your jaw bone, providing a replacement for the tooth root. This means you can eat, chew and smile with confidence again. All-on-4 dental implants offer the best solution to missing teeth. This procedure also helps to maintain facial structure and avoids the sunken appearance which can occur with loss of bone density in the jaw.

How long does the All-on-4 treatment take?

All-on-4 dental implants are unique as they allow you to enjoy a same-day restoration. The strategic placement of the implants avoids the need for multiple surgeries, so you could say goodbye to your old removable denture after your first visit. All-on-4 dental implants also remove the need for bone grafting, which can increase the cost of your procedure and lengthen the treatment time.
